How Is Children’s Healthcare Special?

Each child is a different, precious masterpiece in the making.  The care of a child’s health is perhaps the highest calling to which Hendrick staff can strive.  That is why we devote special resources to the unique needs of children, from tiny blood pressure cuffs to the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  Children not only require a wider range of equipment and supplies, they also require specific professional skills, extra caution and more time from their healthcare givers.

Who Champions the Healthcare Needs of Big Country Children?

No one cares more for children than Hendrick Health System, and no one cares for more children than Hendrick Health System.  Last year we treated over 26,000 children, more than half of which were under age 12.  The children served come from diverse cultures, including various economic and ethnic backgrounds and were treated without regard for ability to pay.
